Pura Bukit in East Bali

  About 5 mins walking from Bukit Asri Lodge lies the Pura Bukit, the temple that belongs to the royal family of Karangasem. This temple honors a child born to a princess of the 5th generation of the dynasty. She said the father was the god of the Mountain Agung and was therefore given the godly name of Ida Bhatara Alit Sakti. A kepel tree, a big stone and a bale (open house) are part of the myths that surround this temple. Your guide will explain the details of the story to you.
